Is your website usable by a ten year old?
We had a client come to us recently who is building an intranet for a multinational company. One part of this is the Consolidated Retirement Benefits Summary, a tool which showed employees various superannuation calculations, potentially after they’d been working in several countries.
This was difficult to understand from the brief, and what they had built was almost impossible to use. We love this stuff though, taking complicated online tools and transforming them into things people can actually use.
The new design looks a lot better, but most importantly it passed through their user testing with only minor changes.
This is a technical example, but a lot of websites suffer from the same basic problem of being difficult to use. Having an unusable website obviously isn’t good for your potential customers, and we’d love to speak to anyone who’s got this problem.
